Fall entrance examination / Entrance examination for October Admission
Course in Biogeochemistry will carry out the entrance examination for Master’s course with Short Essay (topics will be sent to each applicant after application, and the deadline of submission is scheduled on 4 August 2020) and ONLINE Oral Examination for Specialized Subjects. Foreign Language Examination will be conducted through the submission of score sheet and ONLINE Foreign Language Examination. Short essay examination is similar to the b method, which has been used for entrance examinations in our course, and if you would like to refer the past problems, send an email to irino [at] ees.hokudai.ac.jp.

Course in Biogeochemistry Fall entrance examination / Entrance examination for October Admission

Master’s Course

Course in Biogeochemistry will carry out the entrance examination with Short Essay, ONLINE Foreign Language Examination, and ONLINE Oral Examination. For English test, the score sheet described in p.4-6 of Guidelines for Applications and website of our graduate school are acceptable. Applicants submitting the score sheet are exempted from taking the ONLINE Foreign Language Examination. But applicants submitting a score sheet can also take the ONLINE Foreign Language Examination.
The required documents of application should be sent by post, and you should also send an email to the head of Course in Biogeochemistry (atsukos [at] ees.hokudai.ac.jp).
Selection/Confirmation of Examination Subject in the Admission Application Form (2) do not need to be filled.

• I. Short Essay
  After the application (scheduled for 20 July), the head of Course in Biogeochemistry will send the topic of the short essay to each appricant by email. Each applicant should send the essay to the head of Course in Biogeochemistry by email, and the deadline for the submission is 4 August 2020.
• II. ONLINE Foreign Language Examination
  Examination will be held on 24 August (Mon). Before the examination, the head of Course in Biogeochemistry will send the detailed information.
• III. ONLINE Oral Examination
  Examination will be held on 25 August (Tue). Before the examination, the head of Course in Biogeochemistry will send the detailed information.

For ONLINE Foreign Language Examination and ONLINE Oral Examination
• • Applicants must prepare a PC, speaker, microphone, and camera for ONLINE meeting system.
• • During the examination, applicants must stay in an isolated room with internet to use video and audio.
• • Before the examination, applicants should take a test for internet connection to ONLINE meeting system.
• • Head of Course in Biogeochemistry will send information of the examination by email.

Doctoral Course

Course in Biogeochemistry will carry out the entrance examination with ONLINE Foreign Language Examination, and ONLINE Oral Examination.
